Andrijana made her start in compliance profession at Triglav Insurance Company Ltd. as a compliance officer in the Office of the managing board at the end of 2007.

Having build compliance from scratch in a newly listed financial company back in 2008, she established compliance as a recognized business function in a separate compliance department today and started spreading compliance program on to the subsidiary companies based in Western Balkan territory, outside European Union as well.

Not having compliance practices to look up to in a closer region, she initially took up best practices and knowledge from US corporate models and adjusted them to specifics of European legal and corporate environment. Professional support from SCCE was of important contribution in this respect. Later on, she established her network of professionals in Slovenia as well as internationally, dealing with compliance.

In her efforts of making compliance understood and recognized as a profession in her country, she is conducting continuous internal education for employees in Triglav, initiating and associating in communication on compliance issues with managers and professionals inside and outside Triglav Insurance Company. She had already lectured for Slovenian Insurance Association, Slovenian Bank Association and in 2010 also for Annual Slovenian Insurance Conference about compliance best practices, compliance function defined in Solvency II directive of European Union and the impact of new economic reality on compliance risks. Her latest professional interaction is associated with anti corruption collective actions within the United Nations Global Compact, Slovenia.

Prior to Triglav Insurance Company, Andrijana had practiced as an in-house lawyer for Ilirika, Stock Brokerage Company, Ltd. from early 2006 until late 2007, dealing with wide range of corporate, securities and employee issues. After finishing her studies at Law school at University of Ljubljana, she first started as an advisory official at Tax Administration of Republic of Slovenia, where she dealt with tax related legal issues and later on practiced in tax inspection procedures of large companies, from 2004 until 2006.
