Daniel Roach is Vice President, Compliance & Audit for Catholic Healthcare West. CHW operates 42 acute care facilities, medical groups and a variety of other healthcare services throughout California, Arizona and Nevada.  His role at CHW is to assist CHW in implementing and maintaining an effective compliance program.  He also manages CHW’s internal audit function.  Finally, in cooperation with the CHW legal department, he manages the defense of investigations.

Prior to joining CHW, Mr. Roach was Associate General Counsel for Allina Health System in Minneapolis, Minnesota. 

In addition to his work activities, Dan has co-chaired a task force which developed the model compliance program for the health care industry published by the American Health Lawyers Association, served as a co-chair for the AHLA annual Fraud and Abuse conference, and contributed to several AHLA publications.  Mr. Roach is also President-elect of the Health Care Compliance Association and Co-chair of the Society of Corporate Compliance & Ethics.  He is a frequent speaker on the topics of fraud and abuse, compliance and ethics at seminars around the country.

Mr. Roach graduated with honors from Bethel College in St. Paul, Minnesota in 1981 and obtained his Juris Doctor, with honors, from William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul in 1985.
