7/26/2018 10:59:47 AM-Minneapolis, Minn. --- July 26, 2018 --- The 14th Annual International Compliance & Ethics Awards will be presented to recipients at the 2018 Compliance & Ethics Institute. Hosted by the Society of Corporate Compliance & Ethics (SCCE), the event will be held October 21-24, 2018 in Las Vegas. Since first presented in 2005, the International Compliance & Ethics Awards have been bestowed on colleagues and peers for their tireless efforts in furthering the compliance and ethics profession. The awards recognize those who have made a significant contribution to this growing field. This included two winners that are striving to create a compliance culture in Bosnia and Herzegovina,  Bojan Bajić and  Višnja Marilović. During their speeches, Bojan told the story of how they discovered different elements of a compliance program and managed to pass Bosnia and Herzegovina's first whistleblower protection law. Our CEI Silent Auction will benefit America’s Fund, a charity dedicated to providing resources and financial support to critically injured members of the U.S. Armed Forces and their families. America’s Fund was an easy choice after hearing how they helped Compliance Officer, Kim Lansford, and her son, Staff Sergeant Justin Lansford. On April 23, 2012, SSG Lansford was severely injured when a roadside bomb struck his vehicle, while he was in the gun turret. The vehicle was completely flipped, with SSG Lansford trapped underneath it for more than 30 minutes, while his fellow soldiers worked to lift the truck off of him.
